The 2018 Grammy Award nominations were announced Tuesday morning (Nov. 28), with rappers Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar leading the way with nods for both the coveted Album of the Year and Record of the Year categories.

Jay-Z’s nominations come from his 4:44 album, as well as the single “The Story of OJ.” In all, he’s one of the most decorated winners in Grammy history, nabbing 74 nominations and 21 wins in his career. DAMN sits as Kendrick Lamar’s third nomination for Album of the Year, while “HUMBLE” earned the Compton rapper his first nod for Record of The Year.

Jay-Z also earned a nod for Song of the Year with the title track for 4:44, while Logic joined him as the only other rapper in the category with “1-800-273-8255” — the Baltimore rapper’s first Grammy nomination ever.

In the final general category, Lil Uzi Vert earned his first Grammy nomination ever, landing in the Best New Artist category against R&B singers Khalid and SZA.

In the genre specific nominations, DAMN and 4:44 earned additional nominations for Best Rap Album, while “HUMBLE” and “The Story of OJ,” earned nods for Best Rap Song. Additionally both artists received nominations for Best Rap/Sung Performance: Jay-Z with “Family Feud” featuring Beyonce, and Kendrick Lamar with “LOYALTY” featuring Rihanna. In total, Jay-Z has seven Grammy nominations, while Kendrick Lamar followed close behind with six.

The other Best Rap Album nominees were Rapsody’s Laila’s Wisdom, Migos’ Culture and Tyler the Creator’s Flower Boy. Rapsody has also been nominated for Best Rap Song with “Sassy,” while Migos earned a nod for Best Rap Performance with “Bad and Boujee.”

Female rapper Cardi B also hits it big with her single “Bodak Yellow,” earning the artist nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
