Adidas Football unveiled this week the latest evolution of the lightest cleat in football, the Adizero 5-Star 7.0 Primeknit.

Reengineered for football’s fastest players, the new adizero Primeknit takes the football cleat silhouette to the next level by incorporating a sneaker profile and redefining the fit and feel, while sporting a lightweight construction. It weighs in at just 8.6 oz. — a full ounce lighter than other cleats.

Inspired by innovations from the Adidas Uncaged UltraBOOST and NMD silhouettes, the cleat features a one-piece bootie construction, engineered to naturally move with the foot on the field, allowing for flexibility and movement through the ankle, as well as providing a comfortable, precision fit with maximum breathability.

Furthermore, the Three Stripes took insight from athletes, creating speed-spat seam tape in an X-band formation for a lockdown sensation, along with zoned support for enhanced acceleration, making cuts, changing direction and stopping on a dime. Additionally, the Primeknit upper is seamlessly blended with a lightweight, TPU toecap to help provide structure for lateral movements, durability and support, while an anatomical lacing system aligns to the bones of the foot for added comfort.

It also features a metallic electroplated SRPINTFRAME and strategically placed SPRINTSTUDS, while the upper comems features a speed of light graphic pattern that is woven into the Primeknit upper to symbolize speed and movement.

The Adizero 5-Star 7.0 Primeknit cleats drops Nov. 24 at for $150 USD.
