Nicki Minaj’s brother Jelani Maraj has been found guilty of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, after he was accused of raping his then-pre-teen stepdaughter.

The 38-year-old is now facing 25 years to life in prison, with his sentencing scheduled for Dec. 14.

“We hope that today’s verdict will help the family in the healing process,” Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas told TMZ.

Maraj’s lawyer plan to appeal the decision.

In December 2015, he was charged with raping his then-11-year-old stepdaughter. At the time, his sister Nicki Minaj posted his $100,000 bond and was reportedly to testify on his behalf, though that day never came.

Maraj’s then-8-year-old stepson testified in his trial last month, saying he witnessed Maraj rape his sister. “I saw his underwear close to his knees,” he said, according to Page Six. “I thought it wasn’t right. It looked weird to me, so I ran upstairs.”

The son also testified to hearing his sister’s bed creaking at night.

Maraj was allegedly raping the young girl as much as four times a week.
