Following a special edition of the M3 at Las Vegas’ SEMA show, BMW returns with the latest edition in the 3 Series line: the M3 CS.
The new M3 boasts a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six that produces 453 horsepower, allowing it to zoom to 60mph in 3.7 seconds and top out at 174 mph. It also boasts rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
There is also an M Sport exhaust system with stainless steel tips for improved airflow, while the body uses Carbon fiber throughout, allowing it to 110 pounds than the standard M3. Elsewhere weight is saved with light-alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
So far, pricing has not been announced, but the 2018 BMW M3 CS will be limited to just 1,200 units worldwide, with just 550 coming to the U.S. It will hit showrooms in Spring 2018.
