Of course, with every new level of success generally comes… a new devil, a new obstacle, or issue that tries to arise. However, for Cardi B, that “devil” is a male model who appears on the cover of her first mixtape.
According to TMZ, Kevin Brophy claims the “Bodak Yellow” rapper didn’t have permission to use an image of him for the cover of her project and is now suing Cardi and her management $5 million.
The image in question is from Cardi’s Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 1. On the cover art, Cardi is seen unbothered, relaxing as she sips from a beer, while her hand pushes the head of an unidentified man in between her legs.
He is not only certain that it is him, but also said he never even posed for the image. He points to the unique tattoo on the back of the man on the cover as proof, which was brought to his attention by a friend.
Brophy says he has never met Cardi B, and to make matters worse, he claims that his son, who is in pre-K, has continually asked him about the image and what his daddy is doing in the photo.
There have been no formal response from Cardi or her camp regarding the lawsuit.
