Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green and the Washington Wizards’ Bradley Beal were ejected from Friday night’s game after the two got into a scuffle on the court.
Late in the second quarter, the two locked up and grabbed each other while fighting for position in the paint. First, Beal drove toward the basket and was blocked by Greenm and while the Wizards maintained possession, the two fought. Beal would slap Green in the face from behind, and in turn, Green grabbed Beal, and the two were tangled and things escalated.
While wrapped up, Green and Beal backpedaled near the fans underneath the Wizards’ basket and fell to the ground. It took members of both teams as well as officials and coaches to break up the altercation.
When the two were separated, Green emerged from the scuffle with his jersey ripped, and both continued to yell from from their respective benches.
Both were ejected from the game, where the Warriors’ earned a 120-117 comeback win.
