Casio has introduces a new action camera dubbed the G’z EYE GZE-1 Tough Camera, as part of its “Cool Street Gear” line.

It boasts a G-Shock-like “Shock Resist” body that prevents the hardware from getting damaged while capturing video from extreme sports activities. It’s also water-resistant to 164 feet, impenetrable to dust, and can withstand cold temperatures up to 14 degrees Fahrenheit.

The GZE-1 has a built-in 1/2.3 CMOS sensor with a f/2.8 lens aperture, while featuring an ultra wide-angle lens that can shoot videos at full HD resolution and still images at 6-megapixel resolution. Other features include a three-axis movie image stabilizer, slow-motion and time-lapse features, continuous shooting for up to 30 frames per second, and a stereo microphone fitted with wind-noise reduction.

Lastly, the camera boasts control buttons on the exterior to control it, or you can connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth to shoot content.

The Casio G’z EYE GZE-1 drops at select retailers in Japan on October 27. Unfortunately, a stateside release has not been announced.
