Rihanna is being honored in her home country.
The Barbados Ministry of Tourism has announced that the pop star will have a street named after her in the city she was raised, reports Nation News.
“The Government of Barbados will on Independence Day, Thursday 30th November, 2017 officially change the name of Westbury New Road located in St. Michael to Rihanna Drive in honour of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road,” a statement from the Ministry of Tourism said.
RiRi is set to be on hand for the two-hour unveiling ceremony, which takes place on Barbados’ Independence Day, November 30.
