Red Bull has rolled out a new documentary short that explores the Los Angeles’ world-renowned car scene called LA: CARS + MUSIC.

Directed by Van Alpert, with famed photographer Estevan Oriol as his guide, the film gives viewers a look from the front seat with some of Los Angeles’ most influential figures in car culture, with passions ranging from vintage, heritage, race cars and street racing to lowriders.

Individuals include Sundays with Jason, the street racing club that unites the streets of LA; Lala Romero and Natalia Dorado, the duo and founders behind the cult LA streetwear brand Bella Dona; Rod Emory, the owner of Emory Motorsports; Dorian Valenzuela, an automotive engineer, mechanic and fabricator with a passion for European vehicle; Long Tran, the owner of LT Motorwerks who specializes in customizing wide body performance cars; and Guadalupe Rosales, an artist and archivist based who founded the Instagram page Veteranas and Rucas.

LA: CARS + MUSIC comes ahead of the upcoming “Ryoji Ikeda – A [for 100 Cars]” event, as part of Red Bull Music Academy Festival Los Angele — which aims to unite various auto owners and the greatest car sound systems that LA has to offer to create the world’s largest synth orchestra.
