Cardi B continues to make history with her breakout hit, “Bodak Yellow”.
This week, her smash hit topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the third straight week, marking a milestone for the New York rapper.
According to Billboard, “Bodak Yellow” is now the longest running No. 1 hit for a female rapper without a guest.
Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” previously held the record, which it topped the charts for two weeks in 1998 with a number 1 debut.
However, “Bodak Yellow” dropped to the No. 2 spot on the Streaming Songs chart after two nonconsecutive weeks, garnering 47.6 million U.S. streams. It did, however, climb into the top 10 on the Radio Songs chart, making it Cardi B’s first top 10 radio hit.
Elsewhere on the chart, Post Malone’s “Rockstar” sits at the No. 2 spot for a third week, while the Beyoncé remix of J Balvin and William’s “Mi Gente” moved to the number 3 spot from 21.
