Houston Texans star J.J. Watt is out for the remainder of the season after suffering a tibial plateau fracture during Sunday’s game.
During the Kansas City Chief’s opening drive, J.J. fell to the ground while engaged in a block. He was helped to the sideline and taken off the field on a cart… before he was eventually taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
The 28-year-old apologized Monday (Oct. 9) via Twitter, expressing his disappointment.
I can't sugarcoat it, I am devastated.
All I want to do is be out there on that field for my teammates and this city.

Watt missed the last 13 games of the 2016 regular season due to a back injury. He returned in the season opener and recorded 13 tackles in the first four games before this injury.
