The murder-deaths of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. will be the focus of the USA Network’s upcoming true crime drama, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & The Notorious B.I.G..
Ahead of its 2018 release, USA offers up the first trailer, which stars Marcc Rose (Straight Outta Compton) as Tupac and Wavyy Jonez as Biggie.
“The true-crime drama series follows LAPD Detectives Russell Poole and Greg Kading as they work the cases nearly 10 years apart, and sheds new light on the demise of Tupac and Biggie Smalls’ friendship that ultimately led to the legendary East Coast vs. West Coast hip hop rivalry,” says the synopsis of the film.
In addition to the actors who play Pac and Biggie, Josh Duhamel, Jimmi Simpson, and Bokeem Woodbine play members of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Tupac died Sept. 13, 1996 during a drive-by in Las Vegas. Biggie was killed just a few months later, when he was gunned down in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. Both murders remained unsolved.
