Nelly was arrested in Washington state this week for an alleged rape accusation, reports TMZ.

Police sources say the alleged incident took place early Saturday morning (Oct. 7) at 3:48 AM inside the rapper’s tour bus, which was parked in a Walmart lot. And, the unnamed woman specifically names Nelly.

The rapper (born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr.) was arrested hours later at 7 a.m. and booked on second degree rape charges.

So far, Nelly’s lawyer claims Nelly is “a victim” in this case, and calls the whole thing “a completely fabricated allegation”.

“Our initial investigation, clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness,” he told TMZ. “I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to pursue all all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”
