After announcing the launch event last month, Google has officially unveiled its anticipated new smartphone, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
The new smartphones come in 5-inch and 6-inch editions, each with cinematic OLED and pOLED 18:9 displays, respectively, while also featuring a water- and dust-resistant metal unibody construction.
Both are powered by Android 8.0 Oreo, while also featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processors and USB-C quick charging, allowing up to seven hours of power with just 15 minutes of charge time.
As for the camera, the new Pixel 2 features 12.2MP f/1.8 aperture rear cameras with dual-pixel autofocus and 8MP forward-facing cameras, which is the same for the standard Pixel and XL edition.
Other details include Google Assistant, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB storage options. With the Pixel 2, users are given unlimited cloud storage along with Google Lens capabilities. Finally, they are also Daydream-ready, allowing you to take advantage of the new Daydream View.
The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are available for pre-order now, with prices starting at $649 USD.
