Miley Cyrus appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and participated on the show’s a “Musical Genre Challenge” segment.
In the hilarious clip, the pop star offered up a unique take on Cardi B’s breakout single, “Bodak Yellow”.
First, Miley performed a bluegrass version of R. Kelly’s “Ignition (Remix)”, before delivering the pop version of “Bodak Yellow”.
Cyrus recently dropped a new album titled Younger Now, where he shies away from the hip-hop inspiration we saw on her 2013 album, Bangerz. Ironically, back in May, she told Billboard that she no longer likes hip-hop, due to the wide focucs on materialism and being overly sexual.
“I can’t listen to that anymore,” Miley said. “That’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little. It was too much ‘Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my cock’ — I am so not that.”
Understandably, she garnered a slew of backlash.
