Vans kicks off the upcoming holiday season a footwear and apparel capsule inspired by the souvenir bomber jacket.

The eight-piece “California Souvenir” offering is done up in rich materials such as satin, decorative lurex piping, and embroidered detailing across a range of Vans Classics and apparel staples.

The hero piece of the capsule is Vans’s interpretation of the souvenir jacket. Designers pay homage to the customary elements of a traditional souvenir jacket via two-toned color-blocking, striped rib detailing, quilted lining and embroidered back script and tiger. These elements are blended alongside nods to Vans’s home state of California, via embroidered palm trees and poppy flowers.

As for the footwear portion, Vans added flight satin and embroidery elements to three of classic silhouttes. The Classic Slip-On features the all over satin material and embroidery across the vamp of shoe, with a tiger in the poppies mirrored across a rose-pink execution. The black Classic Slip-On highlights the tiger in the palms and the poppy on each side. The Old Skool and Sk8-Hi Reissue use satin paneling and feature decorative lurex cording across the heel. Each style is delivered in classic black, with a metallic greige available in the Old Skool.

The Vans California Souvenir Pack drops in October at Vans retail locations and online.
