Cardi B has made history, after her breakout single “Bodak Yellow” topped the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

The New York rapper’s single bumped Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” hit from the top slot and also made her the second female rapper ever to reign at the top without any guests.

The last female rapper to acheive the feat was Lauryn Hill, who did so with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” in 1998.

“Bodak Yellow” also made Cardi B the fifth solo female rapper ever to top the chart, following Lil’ Kim (2001’s “Lady Marmalade” featuring Christina Aguilera, Mya, and Pink), Shawnna (2003’s “Stand Up” by Ludacris), and Iggy Azalea (2014’s “Fancy” featuring Charli XCX).

Lastly, Cardi is the first female artist overall to top the Hot 100, without a featured guest since Meghan Trainor’s 2014 smash, “All About That Bass.”

To date, “Bodak Yellow” has racked up 46.4 million U.S. streams and 56,000 downloads sold, while it has been played on radio around 62 million times.

Cardi B is currently working on his debut album, but details are currently unknown.
