The Mayweather-McGregor fight is over, but you may have missed this hilarious piece of related news. Ahead of the fight, one of Floyd’s biggest rivals trolled him hard on social media.

On Friday night (Aug. 25), the day before the historic fight, Floyd posted an ambiguous message directed at his opponent, Conor McGregor. “Talking doesn’t win fights,” he wrote, likely referencing their final stare down where Floyd stood quiet and McGregor taunted him.

Outta nowhere, Pacquiao responded in a now-deleted tweet, trolling Mayweather, just ahead of the fight: “But running does ;) God bless your fight tonight!”

Pacquiao was obviously referring to Mayweather’s defensive boxing style, where he outpoints his opponents and wins by decision, rather than brawl with them in the ring and entertain the crowd.

In 2015, Mayweather defeated Pacquiao by unanimous decision in what was billed as “The Fight of the Century”… and one of the most disappointing fights ever.
