After signing to and promoting Reebok over the last few years, Kendrick Lamar has switched shoe brands… now aligning himself with Nike.
The Compton rap star took to social media on Saturday (Aug. 26) to reveal the deal, posting an image of himself rocking the iconic Nike Cortez. “Cortez. Since day one,” Kendrick Lamar tweeted, while adding the hashtag #TeamNike.

Kendrick previously shouted out Nike in his heralded “Control” verse, rapping: “I ain’t rockin’ no more designer sh*t, white tees and Nike Cortez / this red Corvette’s anonymous.”
Further details about his partnership with Nike have not been revealed, but it appears it will, at least, begin with the Cortez. Stay tuned…
