Diddy and Mark Wahlberg claim to have a $500,000 wager on the Mayweather-McGregor fight, but with just days to go, multiple $1 million bets have been placed.
According to ESPN, two $1 million+ wagers were placed on Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas on Thursday (Aug. 24), which have shaken up the odds.
The MGM sportsbook took a $1 million bet on Mayweather at -550 odds from a VIP casino guest, says the report, which would net just under $182,000… if Mayweather wins. Shortly after, William Hill’s Nevada sportsbook received a $1.2 million bet in cash on Mayweather at -500 odds that bet would net $240,000 if Mayweather claims the victory.
After Thursday’s betting, the odds for Mayweather were minus-600, back up from below -500 last weekend.
The two $1 million bets are the largest reported bets on the fight so far.
Earlier this month, an anonymous bettor at the South Point Casino placed an $880,000 bet on Mayweather to beat Conor McGregor, while also taking in two more bets this week of around $200,000. A $50,000 bet on McGregor at +450 that would net $225,000 followed.
MGM and William Hill each took $300,000 bets on Mayweather earlier Thursday as well.
Mayweather-McGregor takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday.
