After some back-n-forth in the media, Conor McGregor and former boxing champ Paulie Malignaggi got into a heated confrontation before the grand arrival press event in Las Vegas on Tuesday (Aug. 22).

If you’ve been following the headlines, you already heard. Malignaggi flew into Vegas to assist in McGregor’s training as his sparring partner, but eventually left the camp after photos surfaced of him on his back, insinuating a knock down.

After, Paulie conducted a handful of interviews, accusing McGregor of using him as a pawn to make himself look good in the press… instead of actually training to get better, while calling him “one of the biggest dirtbags”.

McGregor would deny Paulie’s claims, ultimately saying that his ego was dented after he was handed an ass whooping. Video of the knockdown eventually surfaced, though it was hard to determine whether it was from a punch, a push or slip.

Well, the two came face-to-face on Tuesday, when Malignaggi followed McGregor to confront him. Conor eventually spotted him and walked over to him, repeatedly saying: “Get over it. You got your ass whooped.”

“Did you bring your balls Conor?” Malignaggi replied. “Remember what I said… when you quit like a bitch on Saturday.”

The heated exchange was brief, as security stepped in and quickly separated them.

McGregor takes on Floyd Mayweather on Saturday (August 26) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
