Cleveland Cavs guard Kyrie Irving revealed a special edition sneaker recently, inspired by NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
In an Instagram video, the NBA All-Star showed off this “Bruce Lee” edition of the Nike Kyrie 3, which he explains was inspired by Kobe’s Kobe V “Bruce Lee” shoes.
Kyrie says he wore the Kobe sneaker during the Nike Extravanganza in California when he was just 17 years old. “We ended up winning, and from that point on, it was hand down my favorite shoe ever,” he explains.
To commemorate that moment in his life, Kyrie created this special edition sneaker. However, it’s unclear when or if these will get a general release.
Also in the video, Kyrie says he become close friends with Kobe, who has been mentoring him.
