After its reveal online in May and debut in June, Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) introduces its new high performance vehicle: the Jaguar XE SV Project 8.
The special edition car is Jaguar’s “most extreme” performance model yet and just the second Collector’s Edition from the SVO division. Limited to just 300 units worldwide.
Slated to debut in the U.S. at during this year’s Monterey Car Week, Jaguar Land Rover SVO will bring two versions of the Project 8: a four-seater finished in Velocity Blue, representative of what U.S. enthusiasts will be able to buy; and the other finished in Valencia Orange, featuring an optional two-seat Track Pack and available only to those outside the U.S. and features lightweight front carbon fiber racing seats with four-point harnesses fixed to a harness retention hoop in place of the rear seats4.
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 builds on the success of the 2016 F-TYPE Project 7. Though still under development, engineers are targeting a power output of 592hp, which would make it the quickest road going Jaguar ever, capable of speeds up to 200 mph.
Each car will be hand assembled at the SVO technical center in Coventry, England. Stay tuned for a release date.
