Rihanna and Diplo

LMFAO! This is hilarious. Apparently, Rihanna curved producer Diplo once, when asked to collaborate.

In a recent interview with GQ, the producer was asked how someone gets a Rihanna track or feature. Apparently, he has no idea... because he's yet to land that coveted guest feature.

"I just want her on a Major Lazer song," Diplo said. "She's like the one artist that we can't ever get."

From there, he detailed a pair of unsuccessful collaboration attempts, one included Major Lazer's 2015 hit "Lean On." When Riri heard that song, she told Diplo this: "She was like, I don't do house music."

Despite the denial, Diplo tried again, playing Rihanna a track during a session with Future, Metro Boomin and The Weeknd. "I was so contact high," he recalled. "Future played her, like, 700 songs. It was four in the morning. Finally, I was like, 'Yo, G, I'm leaving unless you let me play her a song.' So I played her a song. And she was like, 'This sounds like a reggae song at an airport.' [laughs] I was like, 'I'm gonna go kill myself.' "

Diplo is 0-2 with Riri, but he still believes they'll end up on a song together. If he doesn't, he says, "I don't really care."

Since the interview was published, Rihanna responded to Diplo on Instagram, saying "My bad."
