More details in Usher’s alleged sex/herpes scandal has surfaced.
In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, two woman and a man claimed the R&B singer knowingly exposed them to genital herpes. The two women say they had sexual intercourse, while the man says he had oral sex.
All three say they had sex with Usher, because he “was a revered celebrity in their eyes who they believed could be loved and trusted.”
One of the people accusing Usher came spoke out in a press conference at New York’s Hilton Midtown on Monday (Aug. 7), alleging a sexual encounter with Usher two years ago, when she was 19 years old.
Accompanied by celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom, Quantasia Sharpton claimed she was invited backstage at an Usher concert after she was spotted wearing a birthday crown. From there, she says she gave her phone number to security and met Usher shortly thereafter.
“We spoke for a while and then we engaged in sexual contact,” she said. “He never warned me about any STDs, it was just after my 19th birthday.”
Sharpton went on to deliver a message to Usher as well. “Usher, if you are negative, please say so,” she said. “If you are positive, you need to warn your sex partners.”
Aside from Sharpton, Bloom’s other two clients — one man and one woman — are remaining anonymous. The lawsuit is being filed in California, where the law requires a person to disclose whether they have herpes to a sexual partner.
Initially, a report claiming Usher paid $1.1 million to settle a 2012 lawsuit revealed that he was carrying the STD. Shortly after the report came out, a woman sued Usher for $20 million, claiming that he did not disclose that he was carrying herpes before their sexual encounters.
Bloom said that she has been contacted by others and may file additional lawsuits against Usher.
Usher has not addressed the reports or STD claims.
