Rap pioneer The Kidd Creole, a member of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, has been arrested and charged with murder.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the rapper (born Nathaniel Glover Jr.) stabbed a homeless man in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday night (Aug. 1), after the man called him a gay slur.
The Kidd Creole reportedly used a small knife to stab him two times in the chest and once in the head.
The homeless man, who was identified as 55-year-old John Jolly, died at Bellevue Hospital shortly after.
The 57-year-old rapper was taken into custody Wednesday (Aug. 2), after identifying him on surveillance footage.
