If this happens, Conor McGregor may have see his biggest UFC rival on the side of Floyd Mayweather next month, as reports say that he’s asked Nate Diaz to walk him to the ring.

Jason Lee, who is a member of Mayweather’s entourage, has said that he’s making a serious effort to get Diaz to escort Floyd to the ring.

“I’m from Stockton, California, and I was just in London with Floyd when the whole sh*t went down with Conor and I’m going to make a call to Nate Diaz,” he told TMZ cameras earlier this week.

“I would love to see him walk out with Floyd. That would be awesome for the town. He’s from Stockton, we’re from Stockton, Stockton people are almost on the level of a Ferrari. We’re going to keep doing what it takes to stay relevant.”

Whether or not it happens will remain to be seen, but it sounds like The Money Team is making a serious run at making it a reality.

Diaz famously defeated McGregor at UFC 196 in March 2016, and faced him in again in a rematch at UFC 202 later that year, losing via a majority decision.

Throughout the Mayweather-McGregor press run, Floyd used the defeat as a way to make fun of Conor, referring to him as “Mr. Tapout.”

Will it happen? Stay tuned…
