“Wonder Woman 2” Gets Release Date

Wonder Woman Trailer

After killing the box office and recently confirming a sequel, Warner Bros. has officially announced a release date for Wonder Woman 2.

The studio announced this week that the project is now slate for release on Dec. 19, 2019.

Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is reportedly in talks to direct the film, but has not officially been named just yet.

Upon release in June, Wonder Woman opened to a historic $103 million at the box office — the most ever for a female director. Since then, the film has become the biggest hit at the U.S. box office for DC.

Gal Gadot will return for the sequel, making her fourth film as the female superhero, following appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, and the upcoming Justice League.
