Shots fired!! Usually that phrase is reserved for hip-hop beef, but this time, two business titans are involved.
Billonaire business magnate Elon Musk and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently exchanged words online… over artificial intelligence (A.I.).
Musk recently threw some shade at Zuck, saying he has a limited understanding of the topic.
During a recent Facebook Live broadcast, Zuckerberg fielded various questions, including recent comments from Elon, who called A.I. very dangerous to humanity.
“I watched a recent interview with Elon Musk and his largest fear for future was AI. What are your thoughts on AI and how it could affect the world?” a user asked. Zuckerberg didn’t agree, blasting Musk’s opinion on the matter. “I have pretty strong opinions on this. I am optimistic,” he said. “And I think people who are naysayers and try to drum up these doomsday scenarios — I just, I don’t understand it. It’s really negative and in some ways I actually think it is pretty irresponsible.”
Business Journal tweeted out a link to their story about Zuckerberg’s comments, tagging Musk, who fired back.
“I’ve talked to Mark about this. His understanding of the subject is limited,” he wrote on Twitter.

Earlier this month, Musk spoke about the topic of A.I. and his concerns during the National Governors Association summer meeting. “I have exposure to the very cutting edge AI, and I think people should be really concerned about it,” the Tesla CEO wrote. “I keep sounding the alarm bell, but until people see robots going down the street killing people, they don’t know how to react, because it seems so ethereal.”
