Over the weekend, Conor McGregor got into it with Golden State Warrior star Draymond Green, after the NBA player spotted him rocking a team jersey.

Draymond posted a photo of the MMA star wearing a No. 23 jersey on Instagram, adding that he’s supporting Floyd Mayweather in their upcoming fight, not him. “We rocking with Floyd bro not you… take that off bruh @thenotoriousmma,” Green wrote.

Being that McGregor is always ready for trash talk, he clapped back in the comments section, writing: “That’s C.J Watson mate. I don’t know who the f*ck you are. No disrespect tho kid, keep hustling and stay in school. Now ask yourself why I’m rocking C.J. when I don’t know or give a f*ck about basketball. I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.”

The jersey he’s wearing in the photo is from the Warriors’ 2003-10 years, when Watson was on the team… before Green was even drafted into the league. But, why would McGregor wear an NBA jersey if he’s not a fan? According to Complex, the reason is likely pettier than Draymond Green is being.

Apparently, when Mayweather pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery in 2010 for assaulting his baby’s mama and former girlfriend Josie Harris, it was allegedly over Watson.
