A Florida man named Ryan Stiles is facing charges of DUI, reckless driving, hit and run, and threatening a public servant, after livestreaming his police chase while chugging liquor.

The man streamed his experience on Thursday afternoon (July 20) and the final video has been circulating since… where he leads local police on a chase down the beach from Clearwater, Fla. to Caladesi Island.

“We were very, extremely fortunate that we didn’t lose any officers, nor did we lose any civilians,” said Clearwater Deputy Police Chief Donald Hall during a press conference after Stiles’ arrest.

Stiles’ friend Sarah Lynn Wright told the Tampa Bay Times that he was upset about a meeting with his public defender earlier in the day, regarding a previous charge of resisting arrest. Apparently, he was likely going to jail for the charge and that resulted in his outburst.

Reports said that around 4:30 p.m., Clearwater police began receiving calls when Facebook users spotted Stiles’ video. In it, he’s heard yelling, while running down trash cans and chairs as beachgoers narrowly escape getting hit.

The clip ends with Stiles taking a swig from a bottle of whiskey, before giving up.
