Nintendo has released mobile apps for both iOS and Android, ahead of the anticipated release for Splatoon 2.
The title will be the first to use the Switch Online app, which is currently the only way for players to speak to each other in a game for the Nintendo Switch.
However, players will need both their phone and headphones to play. The app allows players to access the SplatNet 2 portal to view stats and buy gear, as well as take advantage of communication services.
The online service, however, will cost $20/year, while the beta is currently free.
