HUF emebraces its roots in skateboarding and surrounding subcultures, with its Fall 2017 collection, which we get a look at in this new lookbook.
The brand says their new season is “inspired by the disruptive coming-of-age urban and underground movements of streetwear, skateboarding, athletics, alternative media, and rave cultures from the early 90s.”
In the imagery, we see vivid color contrasts, such as two-tone blocking and color pops, with pieces such as the Explorer-1 Anorak Jacket and Henry Hoodie. Elsewhere, branding is explored through oversized applique treatments, juxtaposed by subtle embroidery detailing throughout tops, fleece, such as the Letras SS Polo and Catalina Stripe Crew Fleece.
Finally, premium material treatments are applied to high-quality, tailored cut and sew across pieces like the Nylon Cheetara Jacket and Palisades Track Jacket, the Velveteen Wild Cock Bomber and Duck Canvas Kilo Whiskey Vest.
The footwear portion is highlighted by the new Hupper 2, which introduces a rubber toe cap and rand application, as well as rubber ollie guard treatments.
HUF’s 2017 Fall collection is available now at HUF stores and online.
