When it comes to bars, G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks is one of hip-hop’s best, as he demonstrates during a recent freestyle on Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 show.
During his appearance, the rap vet destroys a freestyle over Nas’ classic “N.Y. State of Mind” instrumental and takes shots at hip-hop’s new general in the process… from mumble rap to rappers’ funny fashion choices.
“A lot of sh*t I’m not understandin’, whole kind of questions for me / Culture lessons, punks need addressin’, they out here dressin’ funny,” Banks raps, before adding that he’ll “choke a rapper with his purse strap.”
Banks appears to be paying attention to current events too, with lines like, “Ayo Flex, look like I’m left off of ‘Bad and Boujee?’,” a reference Migos’ interview/near-altercation with Joe Budden at the BET Awards.
