After two artists spent hours painting a mural dedicated to late Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy, someone has defaced the art.
Less than 24 hours, vandals destroyed the tribute mural, which is painted on the wall of the Urban Upbound building on 13th Street and 40th Avenue, across the street from the Queensbridge Houses in New York City.
The two artists behind the mural, Jeff Henriquez and Eli Lazare, have yet to react on social media, but many others are outraged.
Fellow Queensbridge veteran Cormega posted a photo of the defaced mural on Instagram, writing “This is some sucker sh*t”.

Prodigy passed away last month in Las Vegas following complications with sickle cell anemia. He was just 42 years old.
