The San Antonio Spurs have landed another major piece, with forward Rudy Gay agreeing to a two-year, $17.2 million deal, reports ESPN.
The deal includes a player option on the second years, which will allow him to return to free agency next summer.
Gay confirmed the news on Instagram on Thursday (July 6), posting an image of what will be his new jersey.
The 11-year veteran averaged 18.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in 30 games with the Sacramento Kings last season, before going down with a left Achilles tear.
Gay is rehabilitating the injury and expected to return in the fall.
