“Wonder Woman” Becomes DC’s Biggest Hit at U.S. Box Office

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman continues its run at the box office… and in doing so, has become the most successful release in the DC Extended Universe.

According to the L.A. Times, the film took in $2.68 million on Thursday night (June 29), pushing its total to $330.5 million and past the $330.3 million that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earned at the domestic box office.

Wonder Woman released June 2nd, with an opening weekend of $103 million, less than previous DC films like 2013’s Man of Steel ($116 million), 2016’s Batman v Superman ($166 million) and 2016’s Suicide Squad ($133 million).

Hitting the new domestic total comes 28 days after hitting theaters.
