Stephen Curry is about to sign a $201 million supermax contract with the Golden State Warriors… the richest in NBA history. But, someone believes he should get more.

LeBron James took to Twitter following news of the deal, saying he believes the two-time MVP should be getting double.

King James retweeted a tweet sent out by San Francisco Chronicle columnist Ann Killion, who posed the question: “How valuable is Stephen Curry?” The writer also pointed out that Warriors owner Joe Lacob purchased the team in 2010 for $450 million, and nearly seven years later, its valued at $2.6 billion.

LeBron asked why there’s any sort of salary cap in the first place, before stating: “Steph should be getting 400M this summer 5yrs.”

The NBA raised the salary cap for 2017-18 to $99.093 million, up from last year’s $94.14 million. With that said, what should Curry be getting paid?

Before this supermax deal, Curry played on a four-year, $44 million contract.

In comparison, James is set to earn $33.2 million next season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, followed by a $35.6 player option in the summer of 2018.
