Mobb Deep’s Havoc Reacts to Prodigy’s Death: “I Can’t Believe It”

Following Prodigy's shocking death earlier this week, his Mobb Deep partner Havoc finally speaks about his longtime friend.

In an interview with TMZ, he reveals that he thought news of his death were a joke at first, because they were used to Prodigy being in the hospital regularly, due to his sickle-cell disease.

Havoc says he left Las Vegas on Sunday (June 18), knowing Prodigy was in the hospital and believing he was recovering normally... until reports began to surface. "Someone called me telling me someone called them saying they heard a weird rumor... they heard P had passed away in a Las Vegas hospital. I know he's in the hospital, but I know he's not dead. I mean, he goes to the hospital all the time," he explained. "Rumors like that always get around... I was really laughing, to be honest with you."

However, Havoc called their road manager... and was hit with the bad news, as he was on the way to his 5-year-old son's kindergarten graduation. "I could've crashed with my kids in the car."

Havoc says he's known Prodigy since he was 15 years old, so it all, they've been close for nearly 30 years. "I'm still f*cked up," he concluded. "I still can't believe it. I can't..."
