Ex-NFL player James Hardy is dead this week in a river in Indiana. He was just 31 years old.
According to reports, a city water plant found Hardy’s body was found in a log jam at the Maumee River on Wednesday afternoon (June 7) and called police.
While details are unclear, his body appears to have been in the water for days. Police are currently investigating.
Hardy’s family had reported him missing on May 30.
The Buffalo Bills selected Hardy in the second round (41st overall) of the 2008 draft. He played in 16 games (three starts) in his NFL career, where he recorded 10 passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns.

After his NFL career, he made headlines when he was arrested in 2014 for attacking police officers and was later committed to a mental facility.
