DJI has been pushing the boundaries of the drone industry with products like its Mavic and Goggles, which when paired allows you to see from your drone’s perspective through the headset. Now, they are bringing their world-class drone tech into a compact version called the DJI Spark.
The new drone is around the size of an average soda can, but packs a whole lot of neat features into its tiny body.
DJI wants the Spark to be an introductory drone that’s easy and fun for everyone. You control the drone with simple hand gestures to push away or bring closer. The new QuickShot Intelligent Flight Mode makes creating professional videos fun and easy too. Select a QuickShot, and the Spark will fly along a preset flight path while recording a short video and tracking a subject along the way. The Spark also houses an impressive camera that captures 12-megapixel photos and shoots stabilized HD 1080p videos.
The DJI Spark starts at $499 USD for the basic setup. But, there’s also the Spark Fly More Combo, which includes two batteries, four pairs of propellers, a remote controller, propeller guards, a charging hub, a shoulder bag and all necessary cables, for$699 USD. Both are available for pre-orders at DJI’s online store, with orders shipping in mid-June.
