Leon Lawson, the uncle and trainer of middleweight boxer Andre Dirrell, is wanted by Maryland police for sneaking a recent opponent with a mean left hook.

Jose Uzcategui had just been disqualified for a late hit that knocked Dirrell out during their fight in Maryland over the weekend, when Lawson went over to the Venezuelan’s corner to tell him how he really felt about the cheap shot.

The referees awarded the fight to Dirrell, but everybody lost here. It’s a rare “Triple L” situation: Dirrell got knocked out, Jose Uzcategui got snuffed, and Leon Lawson is facing first and second degree assault charges.

Watch the cheap shot take place below:

Dirrell apologized on Lawson’s behalf after the fight. “I’m sorry for what my coach has done. My coach is my family, my uncle, and he was worried,” he said. “He cares for me. He loves me. Please forgive him.”

The WBC has since announced it is suspending Lawson’s license indefinitely, while CompuBox said he connected on 33% of his power punches.
