Since claiming he purchased Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V back in December, Martin Shkreli has leaked some teasers online on a few occasions.
Because of this, Lil Wayne is threatening to take the controversial pharmaceutical figure to court if he continues.
According to TMZ, the rapper’s lawyers and Universal Music has served Shkreli with cease and desist letters after leaking a pair of songs from the long-delayed Carter V earlier this month.
The report also says Wayne wants Shkreli to hand over his copy of the album.
After claiming he bought Weezy’s album in December, Shkreli shared an unreleased snippet to prove it. Then, earlier this month, he leaked brief snippets of two songs from C5, including an alleged Kendrick Lamar-assisted Lil Wayne song called “Mona Lisa”, as well “Life of Mr. Carter”.
“Don’t say your boy Shkreli never did nothing for you,” Shkreli said in the live stream.
Lil Wayne’s camp believes he’s only leaking the songs for attention, but has put him on notice to stop.
