Nearly three months after Young Dolph’s SUV was shot up over 100 times in Charlotte, fellow Tennessee rapper Blac Youngsta has been arrested in connection with the case.
According to WSOC-TV, Youngsta (born Sammie Benson) turned himself into Charlotte police this week, alongside two others, after warrants were issued for their arrest.
Back in February, Dolph — who is also from Memphis, TN — was targeted in a shooting in Charlotte, while he was in town for a performance during the week of the 2017 the CIAA tournament.
His bulletproof vehicle was reportedly shot at more than 100 times. Fortunately, Dolph walked away unscathed.
A day after the shooting, he laughed off the shooting on Twitter, with the following tweet.
— its DOLPHHHHHH! (@YoungDolph) February 26, 2017
According to the report, police issued a warrant for Blac Youngsta after finding a van that was involved in the shooting and tracing it back to him. It was rented by the rapper, but his attorney claims it was stolen.
Youngsta and three others were charged with six counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property and felony conspiracy.
Dolph has been beefing with fellow Memphis artists Blac Youngsta and Yo Gotti for some time. In a March interview with TMZ, he said their issues stem from “hatred” and “envy”.
