Earlier this month, Lil Wayne proclaimed himself a member of Jay Z’s Roc Nation at a concert. This week, he clarified what he meant.

During an interview with Skip Bayless on FS1’s Undisputed, the rapper explains his relationship with the Roc and Jay Z.

“Jay’s a good guy. Just a good guy. Nothing but a simple thing. Friend to friend, I just wanna help you. Simply,” Weezy explained of his partnership with Jay Z. “He gonna help me in any way he can. That’s what it is.”

When asked if he’s worked out the issues with his longtime label Cash Money Records, Wayne admitted that the legal battle is still ongoing. “No, we haven’t done that yet. So, we still working on that. That’s another situation,” he revealed.

Lil Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money more than two years ago, claiming they’ve with held millions in royalties owed to him, as well as shelved his long awaited album, Tha Carter V.
