Since Hugh Hefner acquired the 5.3-acre spread in the ritzy Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles in 1971, the parties he’s thrown at the Playboy Mansion have been legendary.
Sadly, the property was sold last fall for a reported $100 million. So, if you’ve never set foot on the estate, this is probably the closest you’ll ever get.
To celebrate the 2017 Playmate of the Year, Playboy opens the gates and offer this guided VR tour. Led by Hef’s son Cooper, we are given a look at the game room and library, while he recalls some legendary tales that took place inside the mansion. For example, John Lennon put out his cigarette in a Henri Matisse art work.
