Although his legal battle with Cash Money Records is still ongoing, Lil Wayne is claiming he’s joined Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

During a concert at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania earlier this week, the rapper sparked chatter that he’s officially severed ties with Birdman’s Cash Money to sign with Jay Z.

“Is it cool if I just say it?” Wayne said, before throwing up the Roc diamond sign. “It’s the Roc. You know I’m a member of that team now. We’ll talk about that later, though.”

There’s no official announcement so far, but Weezy has been repping the ROC since last fall. During the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles in November, he shouted out Roc Nation onstage, changing lyrics to his hit “I’m Me.” Instead of “I’m a motherf*ckin’ Cash Money millionaire”, he rapped, “I’m a motherf*ckin’ R-O-C millionaire / I’m a motherf*ckin’ Roc-A-Fella millionaire.”

Back in June 2015, Wayne told a crowd in Oakland that he had signed a deal with his “idol” Jay Z. He later released a single exclusively through Jay’s TIDAL service and performed at an exclusive TIDAL X show.

This time around, we’re unsure if he’s actually signed to Roc Nation, or misleading us. Stay tuned…
