The Minnesota Timberwolves has just unveiled their brand new logo, but according to NBA.com, it’s more than just a logo.
For the T-Wolves, the franchise and its fans have a bright future, thanks to their young stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. There’s also the Target Center Renovation and coach Tom Thibodeau leading the way.
Rodney Richardson of RARE Design created the new logo, who also led projects for the Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings.
He came up with a logo that is a combination and evolution of past logos and incorporates elements of what makes Minnesota great — from the North Star to the color palette. It also reminisces to the past, while looking ahead to what’s to come.
