Classic 1990s drama JUICE celebrates its 25th anniversary with the release of a special edition Blu-ray release.
Ernest R. Dickerson made his feature directorial debut in the film, and features Omar Epps and the late Tupac Shakur in their first starring roles.
In it, we are given the story of four inner-city NYC teenagers, who get caught up in the pursuit of power and happiness, which they refer to as “the juice”.
To mark the film’s 25th anniversary, Paramount Home Media Distribution releases the film, packed with new interviews from Dickerson, producer David Heyman (Harry Potter franchise), Epps, and fellow actors Khalil Kain and Jermaine Hopkins.
During the interviews, the cast and crew look back on making the film, while share heartfelt stories about their experiences working with Shakur, and revealing the influence that JUICE had on them both personally and professionally.
There’s also in-depth featurettes that showcase never-before-released footage of the cast on set and vintage interviews with Shakur, Queen Latifah, Cindy Herron of En Vogue, the Shocklee brothers, Eric B, EPMD, Cypress Hill and more.
In addition to the Blu-ray, JUICE also will be released on DVD on June 6 and on Digital HD on June 13.
