Looks like Soulja Boy has dodged felony weapons charges, after copping a plea that will keep him out of jail.
As previously reported, the rapper (born DeAndre Cortez Way) was facing two felony weapons charges in Los Angeles — including possession of an assault weapon and being possession of a firearm by a felon — stemming from an arrest in December where authorities searched his home.
Soujla previously pleaded not guilty, but has since pleaded no contest as part of a plea deal, reports TMZ.
Under his deal, he will get five years probation and 240 days of community service. He’s also not allowed to threaten anyone or possess a firearm, not even replica or toy gun.
Soulja is allowed to travel outside the country for work, but will need permission from his probation officer.
